Norton Marine is located just minutes from Portage Lakes in the Akron, Ohio area. Our service department is available for everything from minor repairs to complete restorations. No boat? No problem! We also have boat rentals available for your enjoyment.

Don Merritt

As a veteran in this industry with over 40 years of experience in boat maintenance, I am excited for the future of Norton Marine. After previously owning another reputable boat business, I now have the chance to work with my son and pass down the knowledge and experience I've gained throughout the years.

I specialize in diagnostics, electrical, and outboard engine work as well as client relations. With the abundance of time and experience under my belt, there isn't much I have not seen before or am incapable of fixing!
Josh Merritt

I am a 28 year old with ten years of boat maintenance experience and a lifetime of boating experience on the Portage Lakes. My main role is to handle the boat cleaning, expert detailing, shrink wrapping, & social media accounts.

Working alongside my father, Don, gives me the valuable opportunity to continue to expand my knowledge while we grow as a business team.
